Welcome to my Blog!

Hello and Welcome to my Blog. I signed up for this 10/08 and it is now 5/10! Time to get started. I have three Etsy shops and two Ebay stores and that alone keeps me quite busy. You can click on the sites to the right to get to my Etsy shops. Halvorsons is my handmade shop; LadyRose Treasures is my vintage shop; and Hallie's Closet is my destash shop. Hallie's Closet does not have that many items in it because I can't get rid of anything!

A little bit about Halvorson's:

The name "Halvorson" is my grandmother's maiden name. Her full name was Gertrude Halvorson Bollinger. My grandpa called her "Hallie." She was the person who taught me how to crochet when I was ten years old. That year for Christmas, everyone in my family received a handmade crochetted belt from me! They were really good sports! My dream was to open up a store someday and sell crochetted afghans. LOL!!! I'm glad that my dreams changed a little.

When my husband Gary and I had our daughter, I wanted to name her Hallie after my Grandmother. Gary wanted to name her Samantha! Well, we have the most gorgeous daughter Vanessa! Since we didn't name her Hallie, I named my business after my grandmother. She taught me so very many things that I am forever grateful for. I miss her terribly.

So, this is how Halvorson's was named. I have had a huge craft show the past five years named "Halvorson's Home and Holiday Boutique." However, this year, I have decided not to hold the show and focus on my online shops. It is so thrilling to sell my handmade items to people all over the world! From my little town in Ohio, I have sent things to Australia, Japan, United Kingdom, Canada, and many different states in the USA! It is exciting!

So, please check out my shops and let me know what you think! Until next time!
